Labná
Labná
The first structure that you see is El Palacio, an ancient apartment house for the Labná elite with interesting carvings, architecture, and 67 rooms. If you follow the sacbé (white road) you will see El Mirador situated on a large mound and sporting a large roof comb. The building and roof comb have many stone shelves that at one time held dozens of statures of the ancient Maya gods. Then you will come to the Arch of Labná. This in our opinion is the most beautiful structure ever constructed by the Maya.
